DELL’ORO Paolo is a Ph.D. Student at Università degli Studi di Brescia, DICATAM Department, where he also provides support for teaching activities in the course of Building Architecture Engineering. He is part of the research team of prof. Sesana, and as part of the Building facadE performancE (BEE) Team, he collaborates on research activities. The main focus of his activities is the analysis of envelope solutions under real application in lab and simulation analysis and LCA analysis.

Her thesis and research focus on the analysis of the sustainability and resilience of alpine mountain huts for the development of a roadmap to guide sustainable mountain hut renovations and improve climate change adaptation in Alpine landscapes, under the supervision of prof. ZHAO Feiyu is a Ph.D. student at Politecnico di Milano, ABC Department. Her thesis and research focus on reducing energy consumption in existing buildings while enhancing occupant comfort through the use of dynamic photovoltaic shading devices (PVSD). Under the supervision of prof. Salvalai and co-supervision of prof. Sesana, she aims to evaluate the effectiveness of façade renovations by utilizing simulation and monitoring techniques. As part of the Building facadE performancE (BEE) Team, she collaborates on different research activities.

SU Xiaoxue is a Ph.D. student at the ABC Department of Politecnico di Milano. Her research focuses on the impact of biophilic design on human restoration and thermal comfort in residential environments. Under Professor Salvalai’s supervision and Professor Sesana’s co-supervision, she integrates building simulation and environmental monitoring to evaluate the effectiveness of personalized design strategies in architectural applications. As a member of the Building facadE performancE (BEE) research group, she actively contributes to interdisciplinary projects involving indoor wellbeing, façade performance, and user-centered architectural design.

VILLA Roberto is a Ph.D. Candidate at Politecnico di Milano, ABC Department. He is part of the Building facadE performancE (BEE) Team and, within that, he collaborates on both research and lab activities. The focus of his activities is the creation of a digital model that considers the building occupants to predict and improve the management of the built environment.
