How do we measure our impact on the planet? What strategies can we adopt to reduce our emissions? And what does it really mean to design sustainably? Starting from these questions, the Building facadE performancE Lab team, guided last week the students of secondary school Kolbe 🏫, Lecco (LC), for a training morning focusing on “SOSTENIBILITÀ e CIRCOLARITÀ: vivere e progettare l’ambiente costruito per salvaguardare il pianeta”, to explore the built environment investigating three keywords: ♻️ sustainability, ♻️ circular economy, ♻️ applied research.
👀 This initiative has been one of the first training activities planned within the RERoadS project, which aims to promote and spread awareness about sustainable building design and refurbishment of school buildings, throughout the development of a dedicated School Building Renovation Passport (SBRP) to be tested and validated across Italy.
🏫 Kolbe School building will be one of the RERoadS building pilots selected for the application of the RERoadS approach and the development of the SBRP, coupled with dedicated training modules for students, teachers and families.
