Technical seminar on the MEZeroE research project

🗓️ 30th October 2025, at 5:00 pm

🎤 “La misura delle prestazioni di sistemi di involucro innovativi: metodi e strumenti di indagine

📍Politecnico di Milano – Lecco Campus – Room B2.3

The seminar titled: “La misura delle prestazioni di sistemi di involucro innovativi: metodi e strumenti di indagine” is part of the dissemination activities of the Measuring Envelope products and systems contributing to next generation of healthy nearly Zero Energy Buildings project (MEZeroE).

Contents

The core topic of the event is the presentation of the MEZeroE results, research funded by the European Commission under the Horizon 2020 program, which aims to develop an Open Innovation ecosystem across Europe for the development of ground-based solutions focused on carbon neutrality and a healthy indoor environment.

MEZeroE project focuses on developing nearly zero-energy buildings (nZEB) enabler envelope technology solutions, transferring know-how, pairing testing needs with existing facilities, providing monitoring in living labs, and standardising cutting-edge solutions coming from SMEs and larger industries.

The lecturers will provide firstly an overview of the research context followed by a specific focus on the opportunities, tools and services which the MEZeroE platform offers, concluding with the presentation and visit of one out of the nine pilot lines developed within the project, constituted by two laboratories located at the Lecco campus: the Building façadE performancE Lab (BEE Lab) and the Materials and Structures Lab (M&S Lab).

Objectives and target group

The seminar is targeted for different target groups (designers, engineers, architects and professionals) belonging to the construction sector, with the aim to provide insights and technical training content on the Open Innovation services offered by the BEE Lab and M&S Lab within the MEZeroE ecosystem.
